Resume & Interviews

A resume that shows what you can do, and interview skills that help you show it in person. Practised until it feels manageable, not memorised from a script.

What This Looks Like

Resumes and interviews are gatekeepers. They are stressful for everyone, and harder still when you have gaps in your work history, limited experience, or interviews make you shut down.

We build your resume around your actual strengths, not a template. Volunteer work, life skills, hobbies, and personal qualities all count. Then we practise interviews until the anxiety drops from a ten to something you can manage.

This is not a one-session service. We work on it until you feel genuinely ready, not just "prepared enough" by someone else's timeline.

What We Cover

From blank page to walking into the interview with confidence.

  1. Resume Building

Creating a resume from scratch or improving what you have. We find the strengths you did not know were worth listing.

    In Practice

"Managing your own budget for a year, volunteering at the op shop every Saturday, and you organised the whole family Christmas. That's money handling, customer service, and event coordination. Half a page already and we've only been chatting ten minutes."

  2. Mock Interviews

Practising real interview questions in a safe space until the process stops feeling overwhelming. We record and review if you want.

    In Practice

"'Tell me about yourself' is the hardest question because it's the vaguest. So we build an answer together. Three sentences: who you are, what you're good at, why you're here. We practise it a few times until it feels natural and the nerves settle."

  3. Cover Letters

Writing cover letters that sound like you, not like a template. Short, honest, and targeted to the specific job.

    In Practice

"Tell me why you want to work there, same way you said it in the car. That. That's your cover letter. Honest, short, sounds like you. The best cover letters always do."

  4. Application Support

Help filling out online applications, navigating job portals, and understanding what employers are looking for in each field.

    In Practice

"'Relevant experience' includes volunteering, so the op shop goes here. And for availability, being specific works better than 'anytime.' Employers appreciate honesty. Once we've got those two sections sorted, this one's ready to go."

Funding, Cost & Getting Started

What resume and interview support costs, who it is for, and how to begin.

What It Costs

Resume and interview support follows the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. The cost depends on the type of support and whether it happens on a weekday, evening, or weekend. If you are finishing school, School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) often covers this kind of preparation. Inclusive Employment Australia is a separate government-funded program, and its providers can refer people to us. If none of these apply, this support is available fee-for-service. Cost is always confirmed in writing before support starts.

Am I Eligible?

Resume and interview support sits under the NDIS Capacity Building category "Finding & Keeping a Job." If your plan includes this category, you can use it for this support. If you are finishing school, ask about School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES). Inclusive Employment Australia is a separate government-funded program, and its providers can refer people to us, with or without an NDIS plan. A support coordinator can help you check what applies, and this support is also available fee-for-service if you do not have a plan.

Where We Work

We are based in Thomastown and work across Greater Melbourne, including the northern, western, and eastern suburbs, plus parts of regional Victoria for some clients. Sessions can happen wherever suits you, and if it helps, your consultant can travel with you to the actual interview.

How To Start

Get in touch and tell us a bit about yourself. We will have a quick chat about your goals, work history, and what your plan covers. From there we match you with a worker and book in your first session to start on your resume or interview prep.
