Workplace Support
We do not disappear once you start work. Ongoing coaching, problem-solving, and advocacy for as long as you need it. Because keeping a job is harder than getting one.
What This Looks Like
Getting the job is step one. Keeping it is where most people need the real support. The first week, the first conflict with a coworker, the first time you want to quit because it feels too hard.
Your employment consultant stays involved after you start. Regular check-ins, on-site visits when needed, and someone to call when things get complicated. We also work directly with your employer to make sure the support goes both ways.
This is not supervision. It is partnership. Your consultant is in your corner, helping you navigate the stuff that no amount of job-readiness training can fully prepare you for.
What We Do
Support that keeps working after the job starts.
Regular Check-ins
Scheduled catch-ups to see how work is going, what is hard, and what is working. In person, by phone, or at your workplace.
In Practice"Wednesday, 4:30, post-shift catch-up. We go through the wins from the week first, then anything that felt tricky. A regular chat means small things get talked through before they build up."
Employer Liaison
We talk to your employer about adjustments, feedback, and anything that would make the job work better for you. You do not have to do it alone.
In Practice"Had a chat with your manager about the daily tasks. He's going to start writing them on the whiteboard so they're easy to refer back to during the shift. He was glad we raised it. Simple change, smoother day."
Crisis Support
If something happens at work that feels too big to handle, we are available quickly. Not next week. Now.
In Practice"Take a breath, I'm here. Tell me what happened. A customer yelling is never okay. Let's talk it through. When you're ready, we'll figure out the rest of the shift together. Good on you for calling."
Problem Solving
When things go wrong at work, a coworker issue, a confusing instruction, a mistake, we help you figure out what to do and how to handle it.
In Practice"Whole tray of coffees, third day. Those things happen to everyone and your manager said the same. You cleaned it up, took a breath, and finished the shift. We practised the carry afterwards and it felt steadier straight away. Two hands, elbows in, weight centred."
Career Development
Once you are settled, we help you think about what is next. More hours, new responsibilities, training, or a different role entirely.
In Practice"Six months in the stockroom and it's running smoothly. You mentioned being curious about the till last week. If you're keen, I can chat with your manager about trying a couple of shifts out front. Just to see how it feels."
Gradual Fade-Out
As you build confidence, we reduce the intensity of support. The goal is you not needing us, with the option to call if you ever do.
In Practice"Check-ins have moved from weekly to fortnightly to monthly because things are going well. The number stays the same whenever you want it, whether that's next week or next year."

Cost, Funding & How to Start
What ongoing workplace support costs, who it is for, and how to begin.
What It Costs
Workplace support follows the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. The cost depends on the type of support and whether it happens on a weekday, evening, or weekend. If you are a recent school leaver, School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) can cover this kind of ongoing support. Inclusive Employment Australia is a separate government-funded program, and its providers can refer people to us. If none of these apply, workplace support is available fee-for-service. Cost is always confirmed in writing before support starts.
Am I Eligible?
Workplace support sits under the NDIS Capacity Building category "Finding & Keeping a Job." If your plan includes this category, you can use it for ongoing support once you are working. If you are a recent school leaver, ask about School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES). Inclusive Employment Australia is a separate government-funded program, and its providers can refer people to us, with or without an NDIS plan. A support coordinator can help you check what applies, and this support is also available fee-for-service if you do not have a plan.
Where We Work
We are based in Thomastown and work across Greater Melbourne, including the northern, western, and eastern suburbs, plus parts of regional Victoria for some clients. Check-ins and problem-solving can happen wherever suits you, and your consultant can visit your actual workplace when that is the most useful place to be.
How To Start
Get in touch and tell us a bit about yourself. We will have a quick chat about your job, your goals, and what your plan covers. From there we match you with a worker and book in your first check-in.
